Ive started prepareing emergency rations by storeing canned goods, I need to get to gether a good first aid kit, I dont have an arsenal yet but I got enough family and friends that do, so Im not too worried about that.

To think that things will always remain as stable as they are right now for most of us in the USA is quite foolish. All it would take is trucks not running food to the local grocery store and 99% of people are up a shit creek. Us country folk would have it slightly better than people in the city. But shit would still be rough.

• a rendezvous place in case we are separated.
• a couple of escape routes out of the metro area
• simple roles/resonsibilities for each family member.
• places to lay low and a place that we'd have to rough it out in the woods.
• a direction to head towards once the initial confusion settles down.

i have 4 backpacks ready and waiting. one for each person:
1st aid
water
3 rations
skittles for a sugar rush.
washcloth
sanitizer
utility knife
flashlight
lighter/matches
paper
sharpies
emergency blanket
one of those keychain rape alarms for making noise in case lost or hurt
a cheap lil personal am/fm radio

these are things that every home should have in case of emergency or natural disaster. our parents grew up with most of these things in the home.
idk why people thing they wouldn't come in handy today.

i also have gasmasks from the surplus store
survival knife
a few firearms
flares
a survival book
walkie talkies
tool kit.
small binoculars
seed packs
a set of plastic utensils n whatnot.
