I gave it an 8. If I would have heard it when it came out it probably would be higher. But I only heard this album about a year or 2 ago and it sounded a bit dated to me.

I give it a 9. Thanks to this album I'm a Jay-Z fan. After this album he never made such great tracks as on this one. Altough he had his moments.

10/10 for me hands down. I was sold on Jay from day one. I only wish he would have kept his style as sharp and original as it was during that time. This is a classic LP for real hip hop fans.

Don't know where all the classic thoughts are coming from. Good album, 8 out of 10 but no way is it 10. Production is lazy at times.
