Roots Of Evil album is terrible. 4,5,6 and Live And Let Die albums are his best. The Giacanna Story album is good.

It's a matter of opinion depending on what type of G Rap you wanna hear. I'm thankful for the fact he didn't remain the same each album over time and elevated his lyrics/beats.

The best one to me is Wanted Dead Or Alive, this is the one where he seemed to set the mic on fire like no other album and his street intellectual, mafioso style became defined. Songs like Jive Talk, Play It Again Polo, Death Wish, Kool Is Back, Play It Cool are amazing lyrically in the total scope of hip hop. I don't think his later albums touch the level of writing and ideas he has on this album.

Its a shame that Half a Klip never turned into anything more than an average EP.

It could've been somthin serious. I still remember the day 'On The Rise Again' dropped. Played the shit out of that joint. Premo lacing that sick ass beat and Hilary Duff's sister laying down the vocals on the hook, lol that shit was too real

^ DAMN! Hillary Duff's sister on a Kool G Rap album?! That's some wild shit..

I agree about Half A Klip, maybe some of the legends have just gotten bored with the game over time because there's not much competition or inspiration around. It shows sometimes in the music

I think allot of legends just don't release albums because people will complain because it won't be up to par with their classic albums.

Hopefully CLII & the Seventh Seal changed that.

Ive always considered his Polo albums as solos anyway, I mean really Polo didnt contribute much minus his name on the cover

They're still not solos, and KGR really hasn't done anything that could count as group albums besides those 3 (+the 5 family click tape - but that obviously shouldn't be talked about in this thread)

    OT: Easily 4, 5, 6
