real dope little mini-album that i've been playing quite alot recently. the artwork and promotion for the LP is nothing short of incredible but the music does sound rushed. 30 minutes (including 2 skits) from the first collaborative effort from the 3 most prolific members in Wu-Tang Clan is way too short no matter what some stans will have you believe. especially since they easily could've filled it out with "Made Men", "Our Dreams (Remix)" and the original "Criminology 2.5".

still there's plenty of good material on here to satisfie us Wu headz, shit bangs hard all the way through. Allah Mathematic's deliver some of his best beats in a long, long while imo.. it might be like 5 years since he impressed me b4 this lol. Rae should have been on this alot more too but Ghost and Method Man holds this shit down NICE. it's hard to pick the MVP between them.

    7.5/10

9th person to vote masterpiece here

Just copped my wax today.I didnt get the cover I wanted but once I opened the album I wasnt even trippin. I got a full size copy of each individual cover as a pack-in. some comic strip is on the page that has the credits. Vinyl feels almost 180 grams. Sounds great compared to the mp3 leak I been bumpin till now.

I dont care what anybody says this is an ILL WU product!!!! Well worth the money spent. I almost didnt wanna take it out the plastic.

I gave it a couple of listens definitely a Wu banger. But it felt like Meth and Ghost outshined Rae throughout the whole album.

    Hollow Dartz Review:

    1. Criminology 2.5
I wasn't really feeling this track on the Raekwon Mixtape, but I think it sounds better on here for some reason, I always liked the beat on here. Ghost re-used verse from Badlands is kind of a letdown though, and since Ghost "Quarterback-ed" the album i'm pretty sure this was his idea. Anyways Method Man gives new life to this track, I like how he pays homage to Raekwon's original Criminology verse on here if anyone noticed his lines, he brings that energy on here. I'm not gonna lie Raekwon's verse was dry, I'm glad it was taken off of here. Pretty solid track indeed. 4/5

    2. Meth vs. Chef Pt. II
I'm feeling this right here, it took some time to grow on me really, but it did and I'm feeling this. Raekwon starts off by warming up, Meth comes in on here hungry and they get better & better with every verse they spit on here, you can really hear them going at it on this one. I think it's definitely a Tie on this one. Meth took Pt. I without a doubt though. 4/5

    3. Ya Moms (skit)

    4. Smooth Sailing (Remix)
I'm feeling this beat right here this shit goes hard in the whip, Ghost opens up strong on this one his opening lines gets me hyped every time I hear them, he shows that his dartz are still sharp on this one, Solomon Childs on the hook is always a plus in my book. Method Man is nice as fuck on here he sounds like he wants his title back or something which I love on here, he has many quotables on this album without a doubt. Streetlife brings it home with his verse, I wasn't too hyped with it a first, but it grew on me and I love how he mixed in the generals with his verse, straight raw. 4.5/5

    5. Our Dreams
I love how everyone hated this song when the producer was unknown and then when it was found out to be Rza everyone was feeling this....clown ass niggaz. Anyways I'm feeling the Mj sample on here, I love the beat when they start rhyming, as far as verses go on here i'mma go with Raekwon>Ghost>Meth. Meth could've came better on here especially this being the single and all, Ghost delivers heat on this shit, reminds me of some Fishscale type shit and Raekwon is a smooth criminal on this one. Rza on the beat this is a solid one. 4/5

    6. Gunshowers
When I first heard this in the car, i think i played this one all the way until i got home, this shit bangs hard in the whip without a doubt. This beat is a headbanger forreal im surprised others aren't freestyling off this one yet. Method Man opens this one up good with more quoteables on here and he supplies a good hood on here too. Ghost's voice on here is sore but he still manages to come through with a solid verse, Sun God goes in on this one, this is the best I've heard from him yet he flows on this beat real well, Inspectah Deck brings it home nicely, I like how he Ab-Libs his last word in every line in his verse, it gives the verse an extra push. Anyways this is my top 3 on the album. 4.5/5

    7. Dangerous
This is my number one track on this album, Raekwon just goes in on here and he is fly as fuck on this song, Mathematics beat is on point & they all lyrically come correct on here. Ghostface is dissing the hell out of clown niggaz (NOT T.I. so shut the fuck up). Method Man brings this one home real well I must add, one of my favorite verses on this album, his flow and lyrics are just there on this song. 4.5/5

    8. Pimpin Chipp
Classic Ghostface Killah storytelling right here, good beat to match it. That's about it. 4/5

    9. How To pay Rent (Skit)

    10. Miranda
Nice ass beat on this one Mathematics supplied heat on this album for real. His last good beat i liked was "Everything" on Meth's 4:21 album. But anyways, Raekwon definitely has the best verse on here the visual is crazy, in fact too crazy i have to blurr out some parts cause he goes in on this for sure. Ghostface voice is sore again which takes away .5 point from this song, he could've waited or something, it would've sounded better with him at 100% definitely. Method Man brings it home with a pretty solid verse. 4.5/5

    11. Youngstown Heist
Another dope track, sounds like a Big Doe Rehab throwaway I must add. Anyways this beat is nice by Scram Jones and Trife, Sheek & Bully all play their part on this track and bring it to life. 4/5

    12. It's That Wu Shit
I don't know why niggaz is hating on this one, I like this track right here, the beat is dope to me, I blast this in the whip at least 5 times a day. Scram did his thing with this beat, Method Man killed his verse, that shit was nice for no reason I quote that shit every time I hear this. I am Disappointed with Ghostface on here though his Dartz should've been WAY sharper on here, alot of predictable lines on this one, he still came through though "I'm a don, rebel outta Staten Island projects.......I dare ya'll to come to my projects!!!!!!" 3.5/5

    Beats - 4/5
    Lyrics - 4/5
    Overall - 4/5

This is pretty solid album or whatever you want to call it. I'm very glad to add this to my Wu-tang collection. All three members delivered on here, Beats were pretty solid, Mathematics surprised me on this one, Scram Jones & Rza came through with bangers on this one. A little more "Meth, Ghost & Rae" songs would've been nice and More Raekwon would've definitely been nice, but this was rushed by Def Jam and not those three so you can't get mad at them. If this was a solid album rushed, imagine a project with these guys in the studio vibing and going in.....Wu-Corp. would still complain anyways...****Overall 4/5****
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

my only complaint is that they should've used the original 4-minute version of Criminology with the Scarface sample, and Pete Rock's Smooth Sailing beat, not the stupid remix

prob been discussed before but how in the hell did rae not get a verse on "It's That Wu Shit"? vs1/2 ghost, vs3 meth.. would have been dope to have been ghost/rae/meth.. meth kills it!. would have capped the EP off nicely.
