I had exactly the same thing....
I felt like I had almost given everything I had to offer at one point.
What used to be interestingly fun had become a tedious task.
What used to flow so seamlessly now crawled.
Sometimes you gotta walk through The Gauntlet
While understanding that there are forces at work
That we cannot combat through our own trying to do so.
It's more a realization that you are a student constantly learning
And it simply means (in my own instance at least) that you have reached a level
Where you are your own worst critic.
And most people never achieve the levels after that.
Which is in their own minds as well - but to them they still exist.
I guess I'm trying to say that your rhymes will reflect yourself
And so there will be high's & lows - good & bad - incredible & abysmal.
Writer's Block is a myth when you really think about it.
You are not a writer....nor am I - we are simply projecting & manifesting perceptions.
Therefor : why look at your own work as you would another person you call a Writer?

Also ask yourself just what are you comparing yourself now to?
Your older writings? Other Emcees verses? your personal favourite Artist?
