    Default can anyone confirm this?

I read that the first mef vs. Chef track was a competition to get a solo track on 36 chambers. That true?

Chronologically it doesn't make sense... Tical was constructed After 36 chambers so i would have to nix on that.

What does Tical have to do with all this?

What don't you understand in "to get a solo TRACK on 36 CHAMBERS"?

I've read this a couple of times now..

You know how "Meth vs. Chef" has a quick intro with the beat that would later become "Guillotine (Swordz)"? Supposedly they were battling for that beat.

Initially, that is. I don't know if that means that the song "Meth vs. Chef" is the actual battle for the track, or if it's just the inspiration. Raekwon kinda fucks up and forgets his verse at the end.. so it's hard to believe he ended up winning that.. considering that beat ended up on his album

They won't battling for the beat because Rae tells the story behind the beat in that article where he breaks down OB4CL

The beats for Tical were lost in the flood and had to be recreated.

Naw the 1st battle was for the Guillotine beat, the actual Meth vs Chef beat was one of the new beats RZA had to recreate after the flood. Chef ended up winning and placed Swordz for CL1

I always wondered why guillotine was on tical but that doesnt make sense, if raekwon 'won' the track, why is it still used on tical, sure its not rhymed on but I imagine rza considered it a throwaway for a skit and rae ended up deciding to rip it officially for his album.
