blackened skies now replace the beautiful blues of old
the face of the sun cries as the state of the world grows cold
an immoral generation to scold,
as the masses lose control
angry weather muses death dances take a toll
raining down destruction on a people without voices
trapped in life's balance, brow beaten with limited choices
their cries make the tides rise, a trail of tears with no end
it's hard to pick up the pieces when you don't have a place to begin
London Bridges fallen down, terror packed in bombs
people panic stricken like Vietnam
WAR CHARMS
worn on the backs of those with a hopeless plight for survival
every thought and action in vain when the purpose is suicidal
unable to cleanse their souls in the healing river of Jordan
to busy bombing for sport and
minds preoccupied by thoughts of warring
instead of restoring
... HOPE
steadily following the familiar path of a downward slope,
unable to hide from the scope of a tyrant's yoke
situations make the earth shake,
a great quake in the land of sand
death's hand laid upon a multitude in Pakistan
Iraqi death toll on the rise like fermented yeast
American troops lives being claimed by the heartless beast
a wolf dressed like a sheep,
spewing a false speech for peace
security breached to put the litter's pick within his reach
riots paved the way for the broken seal of the French kiss
what use to be hearts, are now cars ablaze in the midst
the upheaval of a people sparked by 2 acts of evil
the realization of wide spread hatred becoming so unbelievable
unable to view trust with a view from a "steel curtain"
scars from Fallujah's massacre still hurting,
there's no diverting
THE PAIN ...
humanity’s drying up like the Dead Sea
the state of the future’s becoming impossible visually
the acts of 2005
have been synonymized by
the spiral of a blind dive
we must strive for ways to THRIVE and SURVIVE
