Zooruka's thread about man who made marijuana illegal sparked some thoughts about this...
Many doctors and specialists, and many researches(including world health organization) showed that marijuana effects (WHEN BEING CONSUMED MODERATELY) are much less harmful than alcohol, other heavier drugs and cigars.
Alcohol does you much more damage in compare to marijuana when being consumed moderately, but it is more accepted in western societies?
Alcohol damages both your brain and inner organs, including liver, but marijuana only has effects on the brain and your organs are not exposed.
When it comes to your lungs, cigars are much worse and i don't think there is much to debate on.
Only thing that is potentially not going on marijuana favor is that it is the bridge to some heavier drugs. Now i don't know personally cause i don't smoke so often and i'm not in the danger of being addicted to it(also debatable), but i firmly believe that out of 100% marijuana smokers very very small percentage moved on to heavier drugs.
who made marijuana bigger evil when actually it is lesser evil.
Why most parents don't get excited so much when they find out that their 18 year old son got drunk last nigh. Many parents are not even alerted when they find out their child is a smoker(the worst evil). But finding out that he/she smoked weed last night is usually something that requires some radical measures, and it is by far worse than getting drunk last night or being caught with a cigar???
