I chose christianity, I never became a christian to fit into society, if anything I have experianced more hostility and social isolation, by being a christian, than I would have if I were not a christian...Seriously its not popular to be a christian in the world today, especially if you live in a mostly secular society...Now Im not trying to play the sympathy card (because thats not what im in it for) but best believe being a christian ain`t a game and definately ain`t easy.

Just because you have experienced more hostility does not mean it was not an attempt to fulfill your need to belong. In fact some seem to get a strange sense of fulfillment from telling everyone how much they suffer for their so-called noble cause. Paul the self appointed apostle, it seems, was this way.

it is still very popular and very acceptable to be a christian in america -
being a white christian in america is the standard - people are not hostile toward you because you are a christian - people are hostile toward you for the way you arrogantly and blindly display your faith
