Even in death, Ol’ Dirty Bastard can’t catch a break. According to the New York Post, ODB’s widow Icelene Jones sold the rights to Dirt’s posthumous album A Son Unique, for under $10,000. The rapper’s former manager Jarred Weisfeld said she,”she sold out for peanuts,” and claims the album was worth millions. Baby, she got your money.

The manager of the late OL' DIRTY BASTARD has taken aim at the rapper's w idow for allegedly selling the rights to his last-ever album for a pittan ce, potentially missing out on millions of dollars in revenue for his est ate.
The Wu-Tang Clan star, real name Russell Tyrone Jones, left behind a nu mber of previously-unheard tracks when he died from an accidental drug ov erdose in 2004.
The songs were collated for his first posthumous release, Message to th e Other Side, in 2009, while the remaining tunes appear on the forthcomin g A Son Unique CD.
But Jones' former manager, Jarred Weisfeld, claims Icelene Jones has se cretly signed away ownership of the project and spent the estimated $10,0 00 (=C2=A36,700) proceeds herself - instead of splitting the cash with th e rapper's survivors, including his mother Cherry Jones and the four othe r women he fathered children with.
Weisfeld is convinced the rights to A Son Unique is worth much more and could have generated huge profits for Jones' family.
He tells the New York Post, "She sold out for peanuts." Weisfeld has been locked in a long and bitter legal battle with Jones' family for a share of the hip-hop star's remaining fortune and the case, at Brooklyn Surrogate Court in New York, is still ongoing.
A Son Unique has not been given a specific release date and it has yet to be revealed who now owns the rights to the music.

She's the wife. She has control-She doesn't have to split anything. If he had a will, he could have said where things went. Otherwise, its up to her what she does. He was married to her and legalities trump what she should or shouldn't do. Maybe she needed the 10K in hand. If it was that cheap, someone Wu could have bought it, if they had any interest in it, so you can't blame her.
