I agree totally with Morgan Freeman, but unfortunately, differences do exist and it is natural for us to categorize.

So that strategy may not be most effective for the masses. BUT amongst enlightened people, than yes, it can work.

Maybe we'll get there some day, but variation is the spice of evolution and adaptation so maybe it is against our very nature.

The differences are mostly superficial and (at least where I live) racism doesn't really exists. But even though there's almost no one who thinks his or her ethnicity makes him or her superior, racism is still a big issue. I think it's mostly because of peoples failure in life and need to blame it on someone or something. And the leftists are quick to point to racism when an immigrant who barely speaks the language can't find a job. It's them who keep racism alive.

Cleveland is known as one of the more racist, segregated cities in the North. Its a different kind of racism than the superiority racism though in my opinion. It was more of a competitive prejudice between european immigrant groups amongst eachother and with blacks, who migrated to the city after World War I.

So you had patchwork neighborhoods in a classic older American melting pot city back in th 1920's through the 1940's.

But then, white flight came, and all the whites left the city for the suburbs, which have more people living in them as a whole than the city does nowadays, and what it left behind was urban decay and blacks rotting within it.

which led to the Hough and Glenville riots in the 60's.

But now, they are trying to fix the city up, and some of the inner ring suburbs are decaying because people are either moving farther out or back into the city(rarely).

Its a combination of all of these things that has increase racial tension.

But that happened to alot of American cities in the Rust Belt, but even in places like New York and Chicago.
