Dunno if it's been touched on in this thread, but def worth noting that by a country fucking mile the best and most consistent production on any clansmen's solo album since I don't know, maybe supreme clientele without thinking about it much, was handled solely by Muggs.

Like honestly on the grandmasters album muggs stepped up n showed how Wu albums SHOULD HAVE BEEN produced ever since dude's starting trying other methods with very limited success pretty much after the pillage and up to the present day.

^ The one producer thing helps. Not taking anything away from Muggs of course but one producer crafting an album is a lost art with the Wu. And when it does happen we get modern day classics(see Bronze with Dom P or 7L with 2nd Czarface). Peace

Muggs is feeling himself too much. Gravediggaz was in the works before Black Sunday, as was 36 Chambers, which was a lot more soul based than Cypress.

Of course they were inflential, I think Dr Dre and Wu both took some influence but the way Muggs is talking here like hes taking credit for all 90s Hip Hop lol.

And claiming the 'Tramp' sample? It was used a lot already before Cypress.

Yeah muggs is mad overrated IMO. Just listen to Temples of boom and the track Killa Hill Niggaz that’s what Rza was bringing to the table on a Cypress album back in 95.

Muggs actually making a lot of sense here. He was on that grimy wave before a lot of dudes but whatever RZA made his legacy. At least now you see muggs crushing the competition with Meyhem, Roc Marc, Rome and a lot of new dope rappers now. RZA finished now

Muggs couldn't be more inaccurate regarding his claim of "inventing Horrorcore." Horrorcore was invented in Detroit, Michigan under the title of Acid Rap / The Wicked Shit in 1989 by Esham The Unholy with Boomin' Words From Hell, and innovated by ICP in 1991 with Carnival of Carnage. New York got wind of the style, bit Detroit, and gave rise to groups like Gravediggaz & Flatlinerz.

Lol. Rza finished? Muggs havent produced a decent cypress hill record since 98. Rza stil make some real good productions. Even though the lat two wu albums was a bit lack lustered.

In the recent Drink Champs with Cypress Hill Muggs tells how he used to be on the East Coast and took that sound to the west coast for Cypress. So besides all this, it looks more like he took the sound from the other side while other people were also coming up. Would be a bold claim to say he started all this.

You would have to be living under a rock for last 5 years to say that RZA is a better producer than Muggs right now. At this point we might as well call RZA retired. Peace
