Fuck that. 50 is one of the greatest of all time.

You can't be mad at me for saying most people who listen to rap are stupid and mad at me for saying 50 is great because most people think he's great. His net worth is massive. Either most people are stupid or 50 is one of the greatest of all time. Can't have it both ways. I think they mostly are stupid and he's a good rapper.

JMT has no doubt some of the greatest instrumentals ever created. Vinny Paz kind of bores me. Jus Allah is good though. Vinny Paz is blah. I don't like his subject matter so it ruins it. Same with the other guys I mentioned. But realistically Dead Prez has like one good song. 50 has dozens.

his music was made for you so it makes sense that a white teen would love 50 since 50 makes pop rap and the biggest consumers of hip hop music are white teens. so yeah i can understand your position.

and yeah most teens are dumb.

this is what i meant by saying you played yourself.

as much as a fan of hip-hop i am....i hate to say unfortunately there are a lot of negative effects from the music...

young kids buy into the facade. these guys are just talking reckless and full of hatred and boast negative things, and the reward seems to be being rich beyond your wildest dreams, having the nicest things life can offer.

people don't know how these rappers are really living. but the young ones buy into it.

I feel like today rap music has just become so polluted. Back then yea there was a lot of hard shit, but there was waaay more versitility. everything is the same now. everything is ignorant and stupid.

popping bottles of over-priced alcohol in the club seven days a week, being per miscues and disrespecting women, selling drugs and killing eachother, and designer labels and foreign cars. that type of deal has always been a part of rap music, but my point is thats all that rap has to offer now. and its not even being said in a creative way anymore.

the new generation has become increasingly violent as well...gang culture is really taking over in a way it never did and rap promotes that.

you see drake now throwing up gang signs. every rapper in every video is throwing up a set now. it sends a horrible message. everythings fucked up, my rant wont do nothing. but hey

    Realness

true and many of the oldschool and early golden age hardcore rappers showed both sides of the game.

they talked about murder but they also talked about the CONSEQUENCES of it too.
krs ice-t and scarface were good for that. especially scarface.

That was my point. I'm the main audience of rap. I have no taste according to most hip hop snobs because I like 50 almost as much as Wu. So seeing as hip hop is black music for white people I'd say 50 is doing it like no other.

Sometimes I like to read a book sometimes I'd rather watch tv. I like smart rap. I like dumb rap. I like what sounds good. At the end of the day its music and if you take it seriously you're an idiot. You know who is a sick rapper? Nicki Minaj. She's got a cool kind of psycho spit. I wouldn't dare compare it to ODB (PBUH) but I like that sort of theatrics. I like DMX's barking. Its a gimmick or he's crazy (its probably just that) but I like it.

I like Pharoahe Monch and Afu Ra. I like Rakim and Eric B. I like Jay Z AND Nas. I like Massive Attack and MC Ren. I like Xzibit. I like selective Eminem. I like all the rappers in Slaughterhouse. I don't really care for Ice Cube but he has his songs. I love old school busta but I still like new busta. Luda was also dope with braids but he can still kill it without them. Method Man and Redman both kill every song. Raekwon is... okay. Ghost kills it. D-Block is crack. Jada is raw as fuck. KRS slaughters shit. But underground is underground for a reason. Its not for the airwaves because no one gives a fuck.

Is rap music creating a stereotype? Or is it perpetuating a life that already existed?

Rap definitely caused it. No one did this shit until rap. White people were white until they wanted to think they were black...
