I think both Rebel INS albums were solid but both very forgetable and nothing amazing.
A little better than His first album imo
"What is the meanin' of crime? is it Criminals Robbin Innocent Muthafuckaz Everytime?"
very solid album.....I enjoy "City High", "Who Got It" and "That N***a" the most
"I love the way I am and can't nobody out here change me" --> KRS-One
great album 9/10

An aight album, no doubt. I would say that ins have the skills to make each song a banger, but somehow it fails on proving it. Ayatollah rips the productions apart though - cat is underrated!!! who got it be the illest joint
this is a ill album i'd give bout a 9/10Originally Posted by knight

This album is definetaly worse than Uncontrolled Substance, it's like 6,5/10. But That Nigga is my personal classic, this song is amazing. Another dope tracks include Framed, Who Got It, The Movement and Cradle To The Grave. Lyrics obviously were very good (come on, it's Rebel INS, code red: danger!!), but production was kinda weak.
Good album, just wish there was some more fam on it.
worst Wu-Tang album I ever heard, worse than Ying and Yang

MY GOD THIS REVIEW ON AMAZON HAD ME CRACKIN' UP!
Deck fell in a bucket of wack juice, March 19, 2004
By "poor_yurik" (Las Vegas, NV USA) - See all my reviews
I've been a long time fan of Wu-Tang since the first time I heard them and they captured my mind and heart with Liquid Swords. Since then I've bought nearly every solo cd and the work of wu-affiliates like Killah Priest, Cappadonna, and Killarmy. Inspectah Deck was always been a favorite of mine and I thought Uncontrolled Substance was an incredibly good, and very underrated cd. It quickly became a wu classic for me and hinted at an incredibly promising solo career.
With that said, let me be clear about this. The Movement is the worst cd I've bought in the last 5 years. The beats are laughably bad and most surprisingly, SO ARE DECK'S LYRICS. He went from 110% on my list to nearly unrecoverably wack with this CD.
The Deck of old makes no appearance here. Half the cd is him waxing poetic about how he's so non-pop and hardcore and down with the streets like he has something to prove and the other half is him rapping about jewelery, rims, and how good he thinks he is. He comes off sounding like a complete amateur.
I sat, painfully, trying to endure listening through this whole CD. All I could think of over and over again was that this was indeed a "movement", I just wish Deck woulda had the decency to flush afterward. The pathetic hook "WHO'S GOT IT, HUH, HUH?" perhaps alludes to someone stealing his toilet paper
There are endless cringe-worthy lines, messages, and hooks on this album. There are less than a handful of exceptions. City High and Get Right are both pretty good...because both are in the style of Uncontrolled Substance, except you can see some snuck in Movement wackness on Get Right's hook.
A found a video for a single from this online and he was wearing a jumpsuit with SPINNING RIMS AND BOOTY DANCERS IN THE BACK and everything was in FISH EYE.
If there ever was a hip hop betrayal to one's self, career, and fan-base this is it. I wasted my money on this cd. Don't make the same mistake. If you want some good stuff by Deck, find the two tracks that didn't make it on UC: "Nightshift" and "the Settlement". Nightshift especially is a great, great song and would have been a star track on UC if the samples had cleared.
I hope INS comes back one day with something masterful, as he is capable of, but this isn't it.
City High's my shit!
