Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

I thought it was pretty average. Gonna make a Deck compilation using the best tracks of his three albums, cos I don't think any of them have been up there with what he could do.

I dont think this album outshined Uncontrolled Substance... Deck is a strange cat for sure... mainly, why dont he make his own beats to spit on?? i mean, he knows how he gonna sound in certain aspects.. jus sayin..

back to the topic, i liked this album, considerin a number of things (no rza, no wu-element production, no sickmef) either way i'm content.. i jus want a banger with the Rebellion, some real lyrical shit that suits the beat Deck is more than able to slaughter

This was an average album in my book. It had a couple of good standouts but ''Uncontrolled Substance'' was far superior.

"One arm bandit..stab companions with intricate sentences...battle crews single- handed..with cannons that blow you from here to other planets."

^^^ Again the word ''classic'' is being thrown left and right like nothing in these forums. But you are entitled to your opinion.

Agreed, I thought about the same thing - The Rebel got alot of heat but it seems he can't make a real bangin album. He got a couple dope joints that didn't appear on no albums either - "Let Me At Them", "Swordplay" and "Semi-Automatic: Full Rap Metal Jacket". plus loads of dope guest-spots, his verse on that Big Pun joint is murder.

yeah forgot about that one, True Master made that for Uncontrolled Substance but the sample didn't clear I think. I'm feeling "He's A Rebel" also [cut from The Movement], anybody else dig that shit??
