Default B.o.B. - The Adventures of Bobby Ray

Surprised I didn't see a thread on this. Great album. I just started getting into B.o.B. I listened to this album without any prior knowledge of his music besides features on T.I. & Big Boi's albums. I was not disappointed. I had a much more in depth review but I accidentally clicked something and it all got erased.

    1. "Don't Let Me Fall" B.o.B 4:35 5/5
    2. "Nothin' on You" (featuring Bruno Mars) The Smeezingtons 4:29 4/5
    3. "Past My Shades" (featuring Lupe Fiasco) B.o.B 3:33 4.5/5
    4. "Airplanes" (featuring Hayley Williams) Alex da Kid, Frank E. 3:01 4.5/5
    5. "Bet I" (featuring T.I. & Playboy Tre) Kuttah 4:17 5/5
    6. "Ghost in the Machine" B.o.B 4:53 5/5
    7. "The Kids" (featuring Janelle Monáe) Frank E. 3:26 5/5
    8. "Magic" (featuring Rivers Cuomo) Dr. Luke 3:16 3/5
    9. "Fame" The Knux 3:41 5/5
    10. "Lovelier Than You" B.o.B 4:04 5/5
    11. "5th Dimension" (featuring Ricco Barrino) B.o.B, T.I., Lil' C 3:23 5/5
    12. "Airplanes, Part II" (featuring Eminem & Hayley Williams) 4.5/5
    13. "Letters from Vietnam" B.o.B 4:13 4.5/5
    14. "I See Ya" Da Honorable C.N.O.T.E. 3:18 5/5

Overall this album is great. Definitely a breath of fresh air. I'm sure there are gonna be alot of people who won't like this album due to the fact that it's not a traditional hip hop album. I was planning on hating on the features but some of them happen to be my favorite songs on the album. Definitely a good debut album

It is a VERY good album. Though I hope his next album steps it up a bit, because I felt this album just showcased B.O.B.'s raw talent. If he polishes it a bit, and then goes in for another one, it might be a classic.

For some reason I don't have these.
I do have satelite & higher however.

    Weird.

Anyway, this album was pretty terrible.
He made this shit too commercial, dude has been doing hooks for everybody over the past years but on his debut he did none of the hooks on the singles.

If you want to listen to this dude get his B.o.B. vs. Bobby Ray mixtape, that shit is much better then this.

I guess i got an early leak which didn't include 5th dimension because it wasn't out yet.

Does the album review section include mixtapes?

He is definitely talented and without question the most exciting rapper that has hit the mainstream in recent years. I just felt that this album lacked a lot of attitude, and by that I don't mean he should start screaming fuck the world or anything. Lyrically it's just quite predictable because he never takes any chances.

Having said that, I enjoyed some of the songs mainly because his delivery and flow are very good!

I hope his next album will have some "real" hip hop beats and more attitude. Dude is only 21, the future is ahead of him.
