If blacks could have enslaved whites, which they couldn't have due to technological disadvantages, they would have. Africans kept African slaves so whites would've been fair game.

No slaves were mining these materials until colonization.

Coming from Eu-Rope, with its harsh conditions and minimal resources, there was a different mindset. One bent on acquisition and hoarding using divide and conquor as the main tactic.
