Default Ghostface blames RZA for Bulletproof Wallets Mix-Up

    http://nahright.com/news/2009/10/02/...x-up/#comments

Kids, don’t do drugs. In a recent interview with XXLMag.com Ghostface Killah revealed why “The Sun”—the famed collaboration between him, Slick Rick and Raekwon—was not included on his third solo album, 2001’s Bulletproof Wallets.
According to Tony, the song would have been included on the disc, but Rza misplaced the record that he sampled to create the beat. “Rza got high and couldn’t find the fucking loop,” Ghost explained to XXL. “He couldn’t find where he got the sample from. That’s why it wasn’t on there.”
As die-hard Wu-Tang fans already know, “The Sun” wasn’t the only track that didn’t make Bulletproof’s final cut. “The Watch”—another classic Starks song that listeners were only able to hear on underground mixtapes—wasn’t added to track listing because Barry White didn’t approve the sampling of his, “I’m Gonna Love You Just A Little More Baby.” In addition, the original beat for “Flowers,” the collaboration between Ghost, Rae and Method Man on the album, also had to be changed due to sample clearance issues.
If everything would have gone as planned, production issues aside, the Shaolin wordsmith believes the album would have been able to stand up next to his most critically-acclaimed LP, 2000’s Supreme Clientele, as one of his best works. Jesse Gissen

Bulletproof Wallets would've still been wack if The Sun and The Watch songs were on the album hahahahahahahahahaha. Why is it that r&b singers be tripping about rappers sampling their music? Barry White probably didn't even listen to rap when he was alive. So what does he care if a rapper wants to sample his music? I don't think that rappers should have to get permission from r&b singers to sample their music.

Well, Ghost is only telling the truth... RZA did actually forget the sample, that has been told in many interviews before.

I think its pretty normal for a producer to forget where he sampled something from when your making lots of shit like that at one time.

But I think people are trippin though if they think this album isnt great becaue the Sun and the Watch arent on it. Its still a fucking great album. People always blow up the "bpw lost tracks" thing too much. I didnt rate the Watch as highly as others. And I like both versions of Flowers.

Bulletproof Wallets is garbage. Only thing i like about Never Be The Same Again song is the video because my girl LisaRaye was in it LOL. I like the scene when she's fucking Ghostface. I wish she would've been naked in that scene LOL.

    bpw is a great album

the version of flowers on the album sounds like sanitized processed trash compared to the original though.

No love for The Hilton LOL. I didn't like one song on that album. Ghostface has made some wack albums after Supreme Clientele. He's still a good mc but i don't like his albums anymore. Now he's about to come out with that gay r&b album hahahahahahahahahahahaha. He should stick to hardcore rap and not that soft ass shit.
