I had no clue about this album until just a few days back but i had to check it once i found out that it was produced by two of the best and most original producers in their respective fields, Prince Paul and Teo Macero who made wonders happen with the '70s music of Miles Davis and introduced the studio as an actual instrument and breaking up the traditional jazz form. very creative guys both of them and i found out that Vernon Reid is a beast on the electric guitar too, the album is called "Mistaken Identity" and was released in 1997 i believe. it's a lovely fusion of heavy metal, nasty funk, rock n roll, hip-hop beats and cuts and free jazz.

i can definitely recommend it, anyone familiar with Prince Paul and/or Teo Macero would want to check this out on the strength of their names since they was a part of the entire album. Vernon Reid is the guitarist of Living Colour btw. anyone else heard this one and if so, thoughts?
