Why the hate for the W??

i havent bumped The W in ages and the past couple days i was gettin blunted wit my buddies and just decided to listen to the w and serious i dont see why people i dont like this album or the direction rza went with it.

carefull (click,click) this song got me into the Wu, 4th song i ever heard by the wu after triumph, cream and da mystery. this song is just BAM punch u in ur face crazy ass beat

then i went to i cant go to sleep and this song is so fucken nice, the beat is out of this world and i wud be here for days if i had to describe the other songs

all im sayen is the W is an ill album with great beats and i think its a classic to me cuz alot of those songs go way back wen i first got into the wu and they changed my mind about music.

the album as a whole is fuckin wild...so much crazy shit like songs coming in at the end of songs and alotta beats that seem more, to me, "experimental" than the beats on 8 Diagrams....think Careful, The Monument, Let my Niggas Live plus they got two similar, almost-psychotic emotional street hymns like Can't go to Sleep and Jah World (there's nothing on 8 Diagrams that comes close to the experimental-ness of Rza's cannon blasts goin throughout Jah World's beat)...

The W is an amazing album. The way Rza put that album together from beginning to end is virtually perfect. If I heard the songs in isolation I wouldn't have thought I would like them as much as I do after actually having the cd in that format.

i think rza made a mistake of putting "Do you really" after "i can't go to sleep."

can't go to sleep is such a slow deep song about social issues of the street, then to start the next song with an up-tempo beat with meth saying "i heard you niggas like to bang bang" was a poor choice of arrangement
