Is it true that RZA wanted Deck his big bro to join the clan instead of deck?
i read it somewhere, but i don't know if it is true.

don't know, never heard of it. I read an interview where he said that he originally wanted an SI legend called Scotty Wotty (The Jackpot) to be part of the Clan. He said he was on GZA's level but got caught up in drugs..

i never heard of it...imagine wu-tang clan without deck...no triumph and shit...damn
I heard something like that....but i don't remember where from.........wu manual maybe?
ya but imagine them with Scotty Wotty
I heard that Rza was originally good friends with Deck's brother and that's how he was introduced to Deck. I never heard that he wanted his brother instead.
so no one in the world has heard scotty wotty music?
Ive got to hear something from this character now, my interest has been sparked, I feel like their was a thread about this before

interesting. Deck is overrated at times to me...but thats just me.
Wonder if we will ever hear Scotty Wotty alongside any of the Killa Beez...
^I'd say deck is one of the most under rated mcs around if anything
^ I'd probably agree. Too bad his solo's weren't the greatest representation of his skills, and even they weren't terrible in any way. He has dropped numerous outstanding verses throughout his career and it seems as though not enough hip hop fans outside the Wu ones are aware of this. Although it's safe to say upon hearing his name a lotta people will associate him with his opening verse in Triumph. IMO he really needed a fully Rza produced album in the mid 90's, like Rae n Gza. That would've really helped solidify his status as one of rap's greatest mc's.
