I'm looking for some adventurous novels that take place in the United States. English books.
I thought it would be easy to find some titles, but I have been searching for two hours now to no avail.
Please help an intellectual nigga out.

Come on, won't none of you illiterate knuckleheads help me out?

What do you mean by adventure? Like indiana jones kinda thing? If so then try Ordinary Heroes, One Damn Thing After Another, and Indiana Jones(there's books of it).
By adventurous I mean books that aren't about people sitting at home all day. Books with action. No psychological drama bullshit. I've read Mosquito Coast by Paul Theroux and it just made me want to to read more English books.

Try Catcher in the Rye.
Catch 22, although not set in America, is an American novel, and is very good.
I thought it took place in NYC. Anyway, I guess I'll put it on my list.
Thanks for your suggestion.

Forget books about America, Scotland is where it's at......
...read Trainspotting and the sequel Porno.
I've already been to Scotland. Matter of fact, I lived there for a few months. Now I'm planning on moving to America, specifically the USA and I'm trying to get more familiar with their culture and way things go over there.

I lived in Belgium too, but that's practically in the Netherlands. You see, I need to get out of this god forsaken shithole country for various reasons and I only speak Dutch and English. Plus I know someone in America who can help me settle there and probably get me a job as well.
So it's important that I brush up on my English skills and get myself educated on the states.

study skampoes posts and move to 'da hollow side of da port', you'll be fine.
I studied a bunch of Skampoes posts before and it made me want to inject lard straight into my brain and shit out bottles of maple syrup. Not my cup of tea.

That just so happens to be the number 1 recreational activity in 'da hollow side'. Book a flight.
There's nothing hollow about Skampoe. That's for sure. No thanks, I'll be in the woods of Oregon enjoying the beautiful surroundings and American culture.
