Today is the fifteen year anniversary of this gold certified classic. Overlooked in the flood of dope 1998 albums, still considered by many to be hip hop's last classic year.

Wow. This is one of my most listened to albums of all time.. I was spending my Summer of 1998 in Saint Thomas, United States Virgin Islands when this came out..My father had the crazy ill amplifiers in his home over there and this album was my whole Summer over there along with all the other albums that dropped that Summer. I probably played this the most though. Have some real fond memories with this. I remember my father asking me about certain things he heard on the album he did not understand and me trying to explain them to him. I remember him saying the S.O.S. beat sounded like a reggae beat.. Rza at his peak lyrically and beat wise. Wu Tang still having an unbreakable hold on the game. Awesome time for hip hop in general.
I just found out 23 years later that my european CD is 2 minutes shorter than the US version. They cut out all the movies inserts. For exemple Co-Defendant has not its 50 last seconds. It like the atmosphere these excerpts brings. I have no clue why they did this !
A wise man knows his limitations.

Warner Brothers most likely asked for them to remove the excerpts as they were not cleared with them. Only the original batch of pressings have these snippets
