Ghostface, from an AllHipHop interview, 2007:

''Ghostface Killah: “Cobra Clutch” was abstract, an abstract joint. People get me twisted and sh*t. See I created a style when I did “Nutmeg” and “One” and all the other sh*t. I was in Africa and I was like, “Yo I’ma make a rhyme not meaning nothing.” Just put words together but what the sentence might mean, might not got nothing to do for nothing. I did it on “Nutmeg” and I the first verse on “One” and all the other sh*t. People started getting me confused. Like, “Damn I don’t know what he’s talking about.” But it wasn’t meant for you to know what I was talking about cause it was just a style that I created. So people f*cked around and got caught. Yeah, I don’t know what he talking about and this and that and a third.''

But WHAT is like a Yukon?

It makes no sense in the context of the verse and its the first line. That always confused me.

    there's a similar line from Gza on Wu-Banga 101:

"My clan will make me rhyme like D. Banner under pressure"

Dr. David Banner was the Hulk's human alter ego on the old TV show...Lou Ferrigno played the actual Hulk (the diesel green guy)

if u can't figure out what they're tryin to say from that line then I can't help you..

also, J-Don about that Yukon line I dono if you're lookin for some heavy meaning for it..it's a ridiculously simple-minded line really---"THIS SHIT is like a Yukon" well what is "THIS SHIT"? who knows? he just wanted to bring up the brolic Yukon truck----that's what it seems like to me..

but there's also an area near Alaska known as the Yukon, so if u really wanna reach then maybe he's referring to that icey territory as a metaphor for 'ice' or jewels which are mentioned by Rae and Ghost constantly (especially in those days)..

but I just take it to mean his team, his movement, is like that big-ass GMC Yukon Denali truck...it's pretty basic

As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.
