I have and always use the Corel Paint Shop Pro programs for editing and gfx... I've never used PhotoShop but I keep hearing it's better and I should switch... anybody else think so... & if so, why?

Adobe without a doubt. I've used corel at school a little and it doesn't come close to photoshop
corel is really only for digital painting, photoshop for almost everything else :P
IDK... I can do pretty much anything i wanna do with Corel... And I almost never paint. lol I don't see how they can be that much different.

ive used both and i prefer photoshop. been using it since 2004... CS4 is dope.

they are two completely different types of software.
corel(draw) is vector based, photoshop(adobe is the brand) is based around bitmaps.
so... ps is good for web stuff, while coreldraw is good for printing.
i used to design and manufacture signs. we used corel.
^ you can get corel photopaint and others for image manipulation etc that is similar photoshop
oh... i didnt actually read the first post. yeah, coreldraw is totally different. corelpaint comes with the draw package though.
I don't have DRAW, I have PaintShopPro X2, It's the Corel version of Adobe's photoshop I guess but it's just as good if you ask me. I also still use my GIMP sometimes. lol.
