both of these albums are 9/10 or above.
I think they are both worthy of top ten in the 90's. Premo is obviously the force behind these albums doing all the production and Jeru was on top of his game lyrically.
****when considering your opinion, don't count wu tang albums****

Imo the production on both those albums are better then the Gangstarr joints

and Jeru kills it, one of the best emcees of the 90's in my books

the sun rises in the east is overrated. some of the premo beats were nice but almost every track sounds the same. its one of those solid albums from the 90's but isnt a classic.

I havent listened to his 2nd album thoroughly so I wont pass judgment on that.

hm, i was just listening to the sun rises in the east recently.

I really dont rate it that highly actually.

I even heard people saying its Premier's best work?

I mean there are bangers on there, I can see why someone might say that, its rugged as fuck. But its not really that special.

If this is Primo's best album, I think its a great example of why hes isnt as good a producer as RZA. Theres not much depth there.

both classics but not top 10 of the entire 90's, that's too far.

those albums are not classic because of jeru, its because of the beats. lyrically hes really not anything to write home about. same boat as group home.

Nah they're classics both because of the beats and Jeru's proficiencies.

I prefer Wrath of the Math beat-wise though.

Sun is classic because of Jeru and the beats. They rely on each other.

If any of y'all deny jeru's one of the top MC's from Brooklyn you a fuck boy.

And just for the record, Infamous is overrated.

Come on. Jeru is lyrically on point, don't compare him to Group Home.

I think it's fair to say both albums are classic. My personal preference of the 2 is WOTM, but SRITE is excellent too.

However, without actually thinking about it, I'm pretty sure I could come up with 10 better albums from the 90's, even excluded Wu shit. There was just too much quality in that decade.
