Is there any way of viewing some of the old threads that were around before the site went down? I signed up to wutangcorp.com like a month or two before it went down and was impressed by some of the old school battlers. I look at some of the members here and really only recognize a few names like K-Oss and King Justice.

Was the database stored or did everything get lost? I'd like to look at some of the old battles (those were actually good, not what you see on the battlefield today) including the couple that I had.

I'm not acting "all high an mighty an shit." I said I wanted to read the old battles, if possible, because I thought they were better battles.

First of all, different people have different tastes. That is not saying that the individual people battling today are horrible. Personally, I prefer a heavy dose of metaphors, lots of multis, and creative word play. From what I've seen so far, many of the recent battles have been competitions over who can use the word "faggot" the most, who can make more references to sexual preference, and who can come up with the most lines about banging someone's mom/girlfriend.

Some people prefer that and enjoy those sort of insults...there's nothing wrong with that. However, there isn't nearly as much creativity as there used to be, partially because there simply isn't as many people battling. Different styles breed newer punchlines as well as make for better battles because you are weighing in on the different approaches to the battle (in other words, you could take something away with you from each battle where as now all the styles are vastly similar and there is no moving forward). Some use quick and witty lines that get right to the point by condensing material. Others can use longer sentences but provide a tempo to the readers.

These are things that make for great battles, in my opinion, regardless of who the author is or how talented they are. I'm not disrespecting anyone in particular by expressing my opinion.

Agreed I was doin that shit, but nobody voted for me because they didn't understand the method I was using. Read some of my battles, I.E. calling out sicker than aids.
