Default Catalog Of African Cultural Festivals

    EYO

    -Yoruba Culture, Lagos, Nigeria
    -Once every four years
    -Celebration of the dead/death.
-The Eyo are symbolic of dead relatives, they walk about in a mass parade wavying their sticks which from my understanding are supposed to bring you luck if they wave it around you. Women can't where pants around them or cover their hair, nobody can wear sneakers around them.
