nevermind naming 50 rappers better than him, name me one rapper who has had the longevity he has (besides wu), the consistency he has had (every album since vol. 1 has topped the charts), and is STILL making albums that top the charts. NO ONE. from 96 til 2010 he has been on the radio WHENEVER an album dropped. even the ones people hate on (bp2, kingdom come) had HITS that soared up the charts. love him or hate him no one can deny that he has been the only mainstay in hip hop for this long, ever, out of ANYONE who has ever been in rap. dre had his flops (and takes decades off at a time), em took years off (and didn't drop insane guest verses during that time....and arguably STILL hasn't done shit since eminem show), nas DEFINITELY had his flops (half the reason Ether gets all the credit it does is cause he was such GARBAGE for the few years before it....while jay-z was topping the charts) so fuck whoever is hot now cause how long are they gonna last? jay-z has been here since 96 and is still releasing #1 singles and performing at the fucking world series. dude is officially on top of the game

Its hard to front on Jigga as far as great MC. He's one of my favorite MC's but truth is truth. Since BP,he's been hit or miss as far as LPs.
