Estatic was album of the year in my opinion,

it was easily better then Relapse.

the Grammys love a good story behind the music, not to mention a comeback story.

Also they love the style of production Em had: non grimy & handled by 1 production team.

& i'm not knocking Dre, even though Em was lyrically wack on Relapse, Dre came with some lavish shit.

relapse it is much better then Mosdefs album... actualy i cant listen to this bullshit, after few tracks it makes me sleepy. last good album from mosdef was from rawkus era, black on both sides and black star with Talib.

and by the way Talib Kweli > Mosdef.

Any true fan of Hip Hop can tell Em can flow his ass off. After listening to Relapse several times, I could tell that despite the voice, his skill is still there.

first off i wanna say, slim, mos & q-tips albums are all dope.

and i aint mad at em or winning, relapse is a solid ass album. the whole concept behind it. relapse means falling back into bad habits. in this case he was bringing up all his old shit (his mom, mariah, christopher reeves) AND talking about his drug problem while making fun of himself and his celebrity. and dres production is the sheeet on it. a couple weak tracks, but def one of the best in em's discog.

and at least common didnt win for that piece of dogshit he put out last year.

the grammys are for and run by rich whites who dont really know shit about music anyway. they are all looking at the business aspect of it.

yeah mos def shouldve won for sure, that album is a solid listen from start to finish, while eminems has many fast forward moments (the song where he raps about gettin raped by his daddy, no thanks), mos def shits all over eminem lyrically and delivery wise (listen to the final verse on History w/ Talib Kweli) and is overall a better talent (em has fallen off HARDCORE save a few guest spots lately)
