TheMASSIVE: Love yer breakdown of the track brother. Sounds like you truly know how to recognize real hip-hop. Also love the portion on production now adays and how hard it is to come by. That new CD cover artwork looks dope as hell too.

This one is more on point:
Hot new world premiere or half-baked slice of blog bait? You never really can tell with these guys. With "Our Dreams"-- rumored to come from the same sessions that this (still) unnamed Rae/Meth/Ghost collaboration being referred to as Wu Massacre-- it seems more like the latter. There are some fun ideas tossed around here, like the use of Michael Jackson's early-career empowerment ballad "We're Almost There". Ghost seems to still be in Wizard of Poetry mode ("We made plans and dreams, not grams and schemes/ I wanna search for the meaning of love, see what it means"), but it's nice to hear Meth back in his "You're All I Need" wheelhouse, still charming in that Eddie Haskell way of his. And as for Rae, who found success in the past year focusing on grizzled street anecdotes, the grown-man sentiment of "You hear that little baby in the back? That's the sound of sweet life," provides proof that his heart is as full as his Pyrex measuring cup. But as far as production, "Our Dreams" is more like half empty, with its sloppy transitions between hook and verse signifying that this could've used a few more minutes on the stovetop.
