No. He's got some good songs but he's not what I'd call a good rapper.

    What he said.
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

But even during the glory days I always felt 9th Prince was an okay rapper that on occasion delivered dope verses.

    personal preference I guess
I always looked forward to 9ths verses on tracks before the third LP
he even killed the originators track on there
look back to Young Gods and Fuck What You Think and he layer some dope verses too

Hes dope and has always been dope there was a time when i didnt like him then i realised the error of my ways and what makes things dope

variety is the spice to life people like 9th pwince is what makes Killarmy rugged if all rappers were the same we'd be stuck with wack boring groups like Slaughterhouse.

Its like Wishbone from bone thugs everyone thinks hes wack compared to the rest but he makes the others sound better lol but nah really he adds something because hes just rugged with it and adds a good contrast to make things more interesting over a 4 minute track. same with U God like when RZA said he "adds base to the track" with his voice

9th Prince got some dope lyrics overall, but he sounds a bit repetitive at times on his subject matters. He's got a really sharp ear for beats. He hardly ever fail with that
