Use FL slicer, not Slicex. You know how to create a loop in Edison, right?
Then you drag the loop on the FL Slicer.
The Slicer makes a guess how many beats per second your sample is.
And then by the length of your sample guesses how many bars/beats your sample is.
Most of the time it guesses it right, but sometimes I need to adjust it.
When you got an 4 bar loop (=16 beats) and it says 6 bars for instance, drag number down to 4.
Then there's a button called Slicing, the icon of it looks like a box cutter.
Click on that and then you can select where it slices your loop.
You can choose to slice on beat, half beat, fourth beat, etc
Choose to slice it on beat and then the slices are like KICK, SNARE, KICK. SNARE, assuming you sample from a 4/4 beat as most popular music is.
Now your loop is cut into 16 equal slices and every slice is linked to your keyboard.

optional:
Then go to the tab (still in FL Slicer) INS and then VOL and make sure TIME is off
Then go to the tab MISC and set Polyphony to 1
Don't ask me why and what this does, just do it.

i highlight it adjust copy then drag nd drop im definetly trying this later tho seems alot easier and moore efficient nd wud prob sound better.

pretty much same as killbot it looks like
i do all my first chops in Cool Edit Pro cuz i find it much easier/ quicker than edison (and i can blow it up full screen)
then if i ever need to chop em down more while workin on the beat ill do it manually in edison

c/s to mumm ra but i just finished the last one its recording the last verse as we speaak so if lord z is on it shud b up 2nite or 2morro cuz frm what i hear every1 els done...nd im feelin this flip REALLY hard had me spittin verses to it lol also got sum other joints in da vault i thnk its time for me to finally o a beat tape...
