g rap would win, dont they have a song together, i kno theres one with black thought doing the impersonations which was sick.
Tariq takes it imo, he did the song "BOOM" where he did 3 crazy verses. one as himself, one as G Rap and one as Kane - all to perfection.
daily updates: news, articles, reviews, the best compilations on the net. that true skool street hop!
r.i.p. Johan D, Kaddu, Ricke a.k.a. "Slick Rick" and the rest of the fallen soldiers - you'll never be forgotten!
BOOM was the first track i thought of when i read this thread title. but im not sure who would outshine who, i dont think either would outshine each other. both are highly talented emcees
but if i had to pick, i think Black Thought might take it.
i love both, ang G rap is still a god, but Thought has versatility

Personally, i would have to say Black Thought.
G Rap may technically be the better MC, but Black Thought is more versatile with his topics and has proved through "Do You Want More", "Phrenology" and "How I Got Over" that he can rap over any beat.
G Rap is one of the greatest rappers of all time and has an impecable flow, but like Big Pun, i think this has been both a blessing and a curse. His flow is so perfect that unless he flows in that style, it wont sound as dope so he isnt able to venture too far from that style, and because its such an identifyable flow i dare say that over a flow albums it becomes a little monotonus.
I am not dissing G Rap in any way as hes one of my favourite rappers of all time, but a more basic flow can serve a rapper better over time.
But back to the topic, i think it would be a close call, but i prefer Black Thought as a rapper so imma have to give it to him.
In their primes, G Rap.
Today, Black Thought.

Could go either way, I think Black Thought would come harder lyrically but if it's a song that complements G Rap's flow well then...
