It has to be the mixing, just like RZA's EQ levels for Ghostfaces voice is the only way to turn down the high pitch whiney-ness. Its why he sounds so different on IRONMAN. Other producers rarely know how to adjust his voice so thats why he sounds the way he does.

Jin no offense but you obviously have no clue, mixing doesnt have anything to do with deck's voice on tracks. Sometimes he's hoarse, sometimes he's not. deck's attempt to sound younger on chop chop ninja is not a mixing thing but an intentional experiment of Deck.
RZA already said in the Wu manual that he put an effect on all the clans voices, so it is do with mixing.

Yeah, their voices are mixed when they collab with RZA. I wonder if RZA was behind-the-scenes on some solo albums and did vocal mixing, if the clan still sound the same from '92...
