Default c7 pres. Princce Paul (1989-2004) [40 tracks]

I already made it clear on how much respect I have for super producer DJ Prince Paul here @ The Lost Tapes and I still bump his stuff on a regular basis. A while back I put together two compilations of my favorite Prince Paul outside productions (meaning none of the stuff on the De La's, his solos or the first Gravediggaz albums); the first focused on twenty tracks from 1989 to 1994 and I called it "Freak The Sorceress". The second, a little more ambitious project, was Paul productions from 1995 to 2004 and people really enjoyed them (that was "Paul's Boutique").

Since I've been on my Prince Paul shit lately and I also got my hands on a few additional rare tracks, like some Handsome Boy Modeling School songs that were scrapped from "White People". I decided to revisit both compilations with some additional changes; Volume 1 has a totally different sequence that I think works alot better plus a new cover that puts the last one to shame. The second volume has 4 additional songs and some small changes in sequencing. Some of the songs has better sound quality than before too, especially "Secret Wars" on volume II. Any Prince Paul fan will enjoy this so g'ahead and TURN IT UP!!

I cop pretty much everything you post on your blog, which is rare.
First off, let me say thank you claaa, Ive come to appreciate your existence, even if it is over the internet (which is even rarer)...

    But...
Gawdamnit stop updating things! im such a perfectionist/obsessive compulsive mofo, all my itunes is labeled properly, album covers and all, and having to replace or add things every third download is frustrating! Whether it be a last minute track added after you throw a mix out there, or like in this case (and many like it) the whole thing is redone! I'll have to go back, delete the first prince paul tape from my itunes, delete the source files, download this again, throw it back into itunes, label it properly again... you see where it can be a pain lol...
Dont get me wrong its all worth it, for what im getting im more than happy to go to the trouble if it were necessary, but it shouldn't be! Also, as mentioned before, the labeling of the tracks is often a little iffy. I know you wouldn't make it to my exact preference even if you knew HOW to, but I just wanted to say it should be of your highest priorities.

Peace for the links, you knocking it outta the park with compilations like this..

peace Lex, it glad me alot that you like my blog, articles and compilations as much as you say but i gotta say i don't really understand your argument.

i rarely go back and change anything once I post a compilation but for this Prince Paul mix, volume 1 was originally called "Freak the Sorceress" and had an absolutely horrible cover. i gave it a listen after i made "Paul's Boutique" (which is now vol. II) and made a cover i really like. i loved the title (any Beastie Boys fan should do the same) and made another cover which i used for the first Prince Paul compilation and changed the titles to "P.B. Vol. 1" and the other became "P.B. Vol. 2". the only difference on the first one from the original i posted is the cover and the sequencing is totally different, but the songs are exactly the same. trust me it's much, much better and flows better. it also the same file size as the original "Freak..." so there shouldn't be a problem deleting that one and add "P.B. Vol. 1" on your iPod. all my shit is tagged up properly with the cover showing on every track, etc.

for volume II, which had 16 tracks from jump is something I loved from jump but since part 1 was 20 tracks i decided to add four more tracks. I used the "Outro" from Gravediggaz 2nd album and i used two Handsome Boy Modeling School second album that didn't appear on the retail. "Runaway Song II" appeared on early tracklists but didn't appear once the album dropped and "Midnight" was released on the instrumental LP only (which is hard to find on the net in mp3). so just delete the original from the iPod and add this. i don't see how this is a problem fam LOL.

You just explained it all lol, you mentioned in your original post that the only thing different was the sequencing, already knew that from the tracklist, as well as how these projects came to be. No need to clarify these things lol, like I said, just having to dl the same tracks again to replace ones already in my itunes and ipod is more than ive ever had to do, not so much 'a problem', but I have never mentioned it before, so now im just mentioning it.

And as for 'rarely', it happened for paul, 48 hours, the guru joints, one of the large pro comps! Most of which I essentially had to DL twice! (and if yall dont understand my frustration in this then..) And savario theres nothing wrong with bonus tracks, I clearly agree and prefer them even, im justayin keep em in the package!

Also, (as I mentioned when you first opened your blog!), I suspected you were foreign as in some of the track info I would get them squares that replace a foreign letter or symbol if your system doesn't read it! I'll gladly fix em myself just to have your compilations, but if you got em before you send em out that would be brilliant..

Dont take all this badly tho, even if you said 'fuck me faggot label it yourself queer' and I said 'fuck you too your momma sucks cawks in duh buildin', i'd still visit your blog in secret lol.
