Anyone checked this out yet? I watched it last night, really enjoyable watch.

Jake Gyllenhaal is transported into the body of a train passenger 8 minutes before a bomb detonates on the train and he has to figure out where the bomb is and who sets it off. Each time he fails he gets sent back to the start.

Reminded me of Quantumn Leap from back in the day. It's got romantic undertones (especially the ending) which a lot of people won't like, especially those who prefer sci fi horror, and it's probably too easy to digest for a lot of die hard sci fi fans. Def worth watching though as there's lots of twists and it's one of those endings that everyone will have an opinion on.

    Same director who did 'Moon'

    First 5 mins...

Sounds pretty interesting, though the romantic undertones is a bit of a turn off. Maybe i'll give it a shot.

Well, it's only a 90 min flick so no big loss if u don't like

Also it's funny when he picks someone as the bomber and gets it wrong!

recently saw this and thoroughly enjoyed it. its a modern day sci fi joint thats innovative in its own right. borrowed ideas yes but they flipped it nicely. its funny cuz it remnded me of Groundhog Day meets 12 Monkeys LOL. sci fi fans should appreciate it i think. peace. oh and i fucking love vera farmiga.

Only saw this because Duncan Jones directed it, and it's pretty bad.

Some of the visual effects are impressive, but the plot and dialogue is horrendous at times. Well acted though, it's just that the idea behind it was so stupid.

yeah when i first saw the trailer during some movie i went to see it looked ok but wasnt anything i couldnt wait for it to come out. not much of a gyllenhaal fan tho i dont dislike the dude. i think hes a good actor for the most part.

it was a small budget sci fi flick and those types of movies dont do well commercially. production budget was 32mil and it made 54mil domestically. not bad at all although the studio wanted to rake in more.

to me it they basically flipped the 12 Monkeys idea and try to make a film of its own right but nowhere near the dopeness of Monkeys. still think its a decent present day sci fi joint tho. peace.
