Default Compton School Board Approves AR-15 Rifles for Campus Police

    http://theatlantic.com/national/arch...police/378738/

Wow. That's crazy, surely the hypothetical scenario given isn't enough justification for this? The idea of campus police is an insane idea I can't understand let alone arming them with assault rifles.

Will all campus police then have to undergo stringent psychiatric evaluation to be heavily armed around kids as part of the training?

The teachers should probably have some weapons too.

School campuses are the new jails. They look like prisons, metal detectors at the entrance, police with drug sniffing dogs, randomly search kids lockers, interrogate children with out parental knowledge.

Setting up the police state we are slowly turning into nation wide.

    Soon mandatory curfews for all.

Does carrying weed/drugs on you in class still work when you're dealing? In Canada, they didn't allow dogs in the classroom, so the locker search was mute unless you're dumb as shit. A dealer at my highschool co-oped at a tattoo shop doing piercings (no idea how this flew for a credit) and supplied him with the drugs to sell. It was quite the operation. Always had his backpack on him in class.

AR does not stand for Assault Rifle BTW...

It was a naming convention ArmaLite Rifles used, and is misinterpreted by the masses. I don't see why a campus officer would need anything more than a .9mm ? Even that is pushing it.
