So if he was removed in post, I'm still wondering which songs he was part off.

I don't see why the album cover art couldn't have been made early on in the recording process or even before the recording process

it would be helpful if we knew when the photography sessions took place but unfortunately I was unable to find out w/ a google search

Didn't they use video from that day [of the photoshoot] in the documentary?

And yeah. Why would you shoot a cover first, and then scramble together the album. Seems like a real artsy way of working, which I find rather absurd for the Clan. They are not really known for their artistic endeavours & concepts.

Well the way I was thinking was, maybe these pics were to be used as promo pics (in general) or maybe for a magazine shoot and were repurposed for album artwork? I admit this seems unlikely though.

Not unlikely at all - this is exactly what happened with the 8 Diagrams art work. The pics were just taken from a mag shoot

This doesn't surprise me. The ratings and album didn't fit well. Other than that, 5he Source was always spot on.

Lol, literally the only thing they are known for is artistic endeavors and concepts.

My understanding is that Iron Flag is mostly leftovers from The W sessions, rounded out with a few new tracks, tracks meant for other projects etc.

That was some wack shit. Like the misspelling of Raekwons name in the Take It Back video.

    Great info! Thanks for that

I was watching a 2008 DVD put out by Cappadonna and he's super happy in it to be back in the Wu Tang as an official member for the 8 Diagrams tour. But there's one part where he's in Staten Island on the block being super defensive and hanging with thugs he grew up with and he says a line like, "Don't ever say my hood don't love me" as if he had beef with others claiming it.

I think Cappa might've been isolated over his manager being an informant. Doesn't really reflect bad on Cappa since even 50 Cent got jerked by this same guy. Dudes might've looked at him funny for a while until it was proven it was a mistake. Can't find the dates on when this manager worked for him to. Just another theory.
"Why are you looking hard with a hood on and Timberland boots, staring at me for one hour..? When you could walk up and shake my hand? Why?"

They gave this album 4 mics. They gave the W 3.5 mics.
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.
