Best album : Q-Tip's 'Amplified' or (RIP) Phife's 'Ventilation'

I was listening to both albums this morning

neither came close to the ATCQ group level imo. I think Phife took it

in Q-Tip's case I like the second half of the album better (without the Korn embarrassment but with the hidden bonus track)

I voted Amplified. I dig this album quite a lot. Let's Ride is dope as hell, those drums!!


I was always disappointed with Ventilation... could never get in to the production on it.

I don't know if anyone checked it out, but DJ Filthy Rich dropped a Phife tribute mix... verses from Ventilation but over Pharcyde beats from Labcabincalifornia. Really dope shit, made me appreciate the dopeness of Phife's verses over the better beats.

Amplified. The production is great, it has a real chill vibe and the singles go hard. I don't remember the Phife LP well.
