First eight seasons were good.

Even with a big cast of characters you can't keep on exploring the Simpsons universe for 25+ seasons.

What the first seasons got right were that they were grounded in the family characters, tgeir relationships to each other and topics that held real emotions.

Simpsons has always done a musical here and there. The “Sherry Bobbins” ripoff of Mary Poppins was funny.

Haven’t watched in a while though, like 2 decades.

Not that I want to assume to know what you would like but some of the later seasons have quite a few episodes with long stretches that are very much informed by politics and seem to want to make certain statements. as such they may (or may not) annoy you

Like what's the demographic? And how are so many peoples taste so bad that it justifies paying Dan Castellaneta and Julie Kavner millions a year just to phone it in?

i've watched a a couple of the new episodes and as most have said, they're horrible. All the characters seem like imitations of themselves and the colors are too grating. The HD makes the show look gross. You can also tell it's being written by ppl that think Jimmy Fallon is funny and getting the covid vaccine is deep and punk rock. Was once a great show for pre-teens though.

Spun out I was randomly flick through channels on the TV the other night and I came across some newer Simpsons Episodes and guess who popped up
