What was the best thing about the "old internet ". Referring to the time before social media.

Social media suck. Just gimme the Vixen IG account and that'll do nicely.

I loved the crappy looking layout of websites with all the hard colors that didn't go together. And banners.

What was best about the 'earlier' internet was that people made themed websites about their hobbies and preferences and shared their enthusiasm with the world. That and emails. Remember emails? Hello, 1997!!

Honestly the Internet is well past its prime imo. I might be a Luddite but I don't see how a further evolution of the Internet is gonna bring us much joy.

Also not on big on VR and augmented reality.

But hey I was never into video games so I guess that says a lot.

Those shows where they're all supposed to fuck on an island. Double standars obviously since I enjoy porn but whatever. I guess it's the reality tv aspect of it.

You mean the net is only getting worse? Yeah probably atm.

AI is the thing thats going to make a big impact on this stuff in the near future, in ways that we could only start to predict.

I can see this. Seems like everything is getting funneled towards the most popular sites. Internet before all the most popular sites like FBook,YT, Twitter, Google, etc. Was a whole different experience then currently.

It can be a major distraction, for me, I think I keep it under control. Some people are on it every waking hour.

There will be a day when ISP's will charge you more for visiting the most popular sites. Just a prediction, but cable/internet providers here are beyond ruthless.
