Muslims are easily the worst of the religious folks out there. I am forever grateful that Australia doesn't have a religious nutjob problem like America does because religion is how a country gets radicalised and the fastest growing religious status in our country is no religion. Our parliament and political donors are still disproportionately religious though but that will fade the more boomers get voted out and or die.

We get a lot of those wanker white American mormons that convert the pacific islanders walking around knocking on your day wanting to talk about Jesus, a simple fuck off does the job, but they're probably the worst of the christians. You get these old boomer women park themselves at the bottom of train station steps wanting to talk about jesus but you just walk past them. Religion isn't as in your face here which is a good thing.

I find atheists just as annoying as religious people too because they're exactly like vegans and have to tell you how they're not religious and all that annoying shit.



I've read (probably incorrectly) that Nigeria is essentially split in to two with muslims in the north and christians in the south and most of the prosperity comes from the christian south. Is this true? It lead me to read up a bit on Biafra, is that where your family is from?

Yeah we're Biafrans. We're basically stuck attached to a dead body called Nigeria.
Muslims are pretty cool too, especially practicing muslims that take it seriously. I don't really care what ppl believe in anymore as much as the results of their beliefs. And Muslims on a person to person level are pretty solid. lol at atheists. Reason I'm saying all these ppl are solid is because compared to atheists....yeah.

I think humans 'have to' worship something, and religion are pre-set models for keeping the general populace from being way too tweaked the fuck out on what they worship. If everyone customizes their own, you're in for some shit. But 'some shit' is what we're now used to so it's hard to really make that argument clear. You notice all the cults (at least in america), mass killings, weird cult-like politics, and conspiracy theory shit that popped off after the 60s? Or how companies just get ppl to worship celebrities instead now that they're up for grabs. Religion is stupid but it's a regulated orthodox stupidity that isn't too far off bounds like irreligious stupidity. The old world religions are definitely on a slow decline, but its almost more worrying what they'll get replaced with. Carl Sagan back in the 90s said that we've devised a whole society based on science and technology, where most of the people in charge don't actually understand science and technology.

We're basically rushing towards letting computer algorithms decide the direction of humanity.

Most emotional impulses happen and are justified after, so really the religion is just the justification for something that would have happened anyways. If I believe Allah is the source of everything and i tell you I'm killing you because of Allah, that has nothing to do with the religion. If I believed Science was the source of everything and started killing you cause of science, it has nothing to do with science either. I'm just a killing ass person. And it's usually smart ppl who can make decisions on their own who say religion is ignorant etc because they assume their thought processes are the same as everyone else, or that their untested ass life and thought-processes are getting the full 360 on humanity and earth.


I can say Judaism is ignorant and we're 'better now' but look at Judaism and look at Scientology and tell me we're 'getting smarter' as a people lol. that's true, but things aren't better because we choose them. I think the actual aim of religion is creating and cementing community. Irreligious ppl have a very loud inability to do that. I think the belief aspect is for kids and women and it's def not the 'main thing' about it. Christianity is particularly fucked because i focused all it's energy on the belief aspect, but Judaism does the opposite where the community is more important than the belief. Islam does a lot of both.

But it's really just everyone playing the same make believe game. We can all choose our own but the point of the game is all of us playing around in the same game with the same rules. THe big issue with the abrahamic religions is they also say that if someone isn't playing your specific game their the enemy and that's the part where the shit gets stupid. But people will create fictious play-space no matter what, and imo it's best there's some orthodoxy to it so that we don't spin too far off the rails.
