I only found the Ann Peebles sample (the plucking sound) and the rest was found by other dudes on sampling-sniffing group I'm part of. I recreated them to make sure and it's 99% it (i'd say 100% but you never know lol)
RZA was fucking crazy and you gotta produce and make beats to understand the craziness he brought with these ones

What happened to the non Wu-Tang Hip-Hop samples thread on this forum? I can't find it?? I'm hoping to see if anyone knows the sample to "Timeless" by Mobb Deep.
I joked on here a while back about Alica Keys sampling RZA - Mantis for NY State of Mind. Turns out they both sample the same piano sample from the same song (The Moments - Love On a two Way Street). I assumed NY State of Mind was original piano playing by AK. Ironically I think AK sampled the song but RZA recreated in on a piano as it sounds too clean in Mantis to be a sample.

the original TICAL drums.
Got this info directly from Carlos Bess which is where he got it from for his Funky Drummers volumes.
Cool! I thought Carlos was a drummer and played it by himself

I thought the same until he told me. There’s more drums that were sourced rather than played on the Funky Drummer series.
How's he doing right now? Is he still making music or has any connection with the Clan?

No connection anymore no. Still mixing engineer here and there.
