Jedi Mind Tricks is one of the greatest hip-hop groups ever. They dominated underground rap in the 2000s, thanks in large part to Stoupe. But those days are long gone. I don’t think Vinnie has it anymore, and no banging beats is going to change that. Something happened to his flow and delivery. Maybe old age.

To be fair, most underground legends from the golden age 2000s have lost it, from Necro to Ras Kass to Cage to Atmosphere to Dead Prez…..and yeah, it’s sad.

Chino XL and Celph Titled can still spit, but they need good production. I don’t know what the hell happened to Immortal Technique, but he was the underground king for a minute
