Old Dirty Bastard's manager, Jared Weisfeld, has just signed Bizzy Bone to his newly formed 845 Entertainment.
Weisfeld teamed up with childhood friend, Greg Miller to start the imprint with Bone Thugs N' Harmony's Bizzy Bone as their first release. Bizzy's solo disc is set to hit stores as early as September. Coming from a financial background, Miller will serve as the label's co-CEO. Marcus Logan of Concrete Marketing and formerly of Bad Boy, Virgin and Star Trak, will also be joining the 845 operation as the Chief Marketing Officer.
Weisfeld has previously developed and produced "On Parole With ODB" for VH1 and has also executive produced shows for Spike TV. Following ODB's death last year, Weisfeld joined forces with Dirty's mother, Cherry Jones, to launch JC Records. JC in collaboration with 845, is slated to drop the Blackass DVD and several other projects including a release by Bklyn Zu.
Bizzy Bone's upcoming solo CD is scheduled to hit stores September 27th.
