that's the main plot point in the movie, some kids find the necronomicon and play a tape accidently ressurecting evil spirts causing them to all become taken over by evil spirts (except ash of course).
or atleast that's what I remember from the movie. anyway if memory serves me correct it was made from the skin of people and written in blood.
It never existed. H.P Lovecraft made it up in his stories. And of course some idiots said it was real and made one up. And of course more idiots believed it. Kind of like most of the stuff in this section
