Master P did contribute, but don't give him that much credit. He did pave the way for artists with less talent(such as himself) to thrive. He was the archetype for the dumb southern rapper. But when Puffy started dancing and sticking his watch in the camera, Master P was still hardcore. Pac did some mainstream shit for the ladies, but nothing could compare to what Puff made Biggie do(i.e. Biggie Biggie Biggie). Jay-Z was always a follower. He's always spotted the trends and gone with what's "hot". Nas has slipped into bullshit from time to time, but has remained the most consistent by far. By the way. People can't mention Cormega's album as 2005 hip-hop. That ish is from '97, when an album like that was expected.

    (no order)

9th wonder and buckshot - chemistry
    sean price - monkey marz
murs and slug - felt 2
    black market militia - lp
mf grimm - scars & memories
    common - be
    cormega - the testament
    count bass d - begborrowsteel
    gorillaz - demon days
    grayskul - deadlivers
    mathematics - the problem
    one be lo - sonogram
purple city - road to the riches
    quasimoto - further adventures
    memphis bleek - 534
    game - documentary
c-rayz walz - year of the beast
    blueprint - 1988
those albums are average at best....................75% of them are borring as hell.........its not like any of these albums are splitting the atom.....Furthermore, most of these artists have put out albums that were twice as good ten years ago.........I find the UNDERGROUND scene has really dreid up to, I used to love underground, but many of the releases do not really excite me anymore, they are borring.

Like none of these albums are just theat memorable.......I doubt 2 years from now people will be talking about fuckin MEMPHiS BLEEKS 534, PURPLE CITY ROAD TO RICHES, GRAYSKULL DEADLIVERS, etc etc...............I also think that 9th WONDER/BUCKSHOT aint nothin special......its pretty borring.......I think people are just so desperate to get excited over anything that resembles real hip hop, they call it great when it is average.

PUFF DADDY made is acceptable to sell out....he made it cool to sell out....

.....PUFF was one of the first dudes to make POP-RAP with his shameless remakes of past hits, he was the first dudes to make million dollar videos with the dancing girls(which lead to the video, being more important than the actual music being played), he popularised the RnB/Rap joints, Puff made rap more about the hooks of a song and not the lyrics, prior to PUFF rap videos showed the Ghetto, after PUFF everyone was driving Bentleys in the videos...........PUFF basically sugarcoated rap into something that could be digested by everyone in society.........lil girls, parents, etc...........not just the hip hop fan.

Look at all the videos in 2005......the dancing girls, the accessable hooks, the RnB pop rap joints, the commercialism....it is all a product of PUFF DADDY

Hip Hop has basically been going down since around 1998, and nose dived around 2000 and his been CORPORATE ever since.........everybody today on TV still followes the formula that PUFF created in the 1990's, RnB joints that appeal tio the ladies and clubs, big budget Videos with Bentley's etc........thanks PUFF DADDY!

if you say so man, the albums i mentioned are worthy additions to any hip hop collection

In the ways of the world today
It's so easy for us to stray away
Trying to keep our mind from all the drugs and crime
    Material things keep us blind

Yo hiphop is on bubble gum. I want hiphop to be on Crack like back in the days. I mean literally. Like when ODB smoked crack, when ro-base was snorting coke, when red and meth were dropping LSD, when everyone in the clan was dusted on powder, when smoking a Geek(weed laced with crack) was glorified by Meth. I am going to educate you guys on this board. you know what TICAL means, it is backward for LAC-IT. lace it with crack or coke. yo that was true gangster years.

I'm out for presidents to be dead
I know that has never been said
so I'm going to set a precedent."

Ya maybe, BUSTA RHYMES kind of caught "FAT JOE SYNDROME" though, and likes doing the bubblegum joints with anyone who gives him a call, if it keeps him on the hit list.......could be good though as DR DRE is involved
