Tical is the weakest of the pre 97 albums, but only because the bar was so high, it does shit on many albums from a great height and to me it's a near classic.

I feel its an ok album...no where near a classic. The dark theme of the album is dope though.

Very great album, but i wouldn't call it a classic, it's my least favorite from 93-97 era. Meth's rapping was magnificent, but some of the production could of been better, however, some beats were good (i.e. Bring The Pain, What the Blood Clot, Meth vs Chef, ect...)
I just don't like you, thats all.

Shaolin shadowboxin' and the wu-tang swordstyle...If what you say is true...The shaolin and the wu-tang could be dangerous!En garde, I'll let you try my wu-tang style...
Thanks for making this thread I was extremely bored.
Tical is awesome. Nothing weak about it at all.
as a whole that album is nowhere even near classic but it does have classic material on it "bring the pain" 'all i need" "what the blood clot" which is the ilest
the album starts weak and ends weak

i mean i can understand cats calling it classic, but for me, theres a couple wack tracks on it, 'bring the pain' i think is overated, and i didnt like the way it was mastered, it was slightly messy imo
that aside there were some fucking banging shits on there (biscuits, meth vs. chef, PLO style, i get my thing in action etc)
Allmusic.com made an excellent rating of pre-97 Wu albums:
5 stars got:
Enter the Wu-Tang - 36 Chambers
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx
Liquid Swords
4,5 stars got:
Tical
Return to the 36 Chambers - The Dirty Version
Ironman
I got nothing to add.
"The Devil is not the Prince of Matter; the Devil is the arrogance of the spirit, faith without smile, truth that is never seized by doubt. The Devil is grim because he knows where he is going, and, in moving, he always returns whence he came."
^^^to me 'return....' and 'ironman' are classics
Tical is a great album the weaker of the pre 97' era but still its a classic
