I still don't get how people could put this album at a 3/5 or lower. Your average album does NOT sound remotely close to this CD (range of topics, incredible beats, etc), and that's not even getting into the MCing which is head and shoulders above your "average" MC. Opinions are one thing, but people or rewriting the dictionary with some of these ratings. If it's not your album of the year thus far, that's fine, but there is this concept of even of you're not feelin' somethin' as much as the next guy doesn't mean there is necessarily something wrong with the album. EL-P's new album doesn't really touch me, nor has he ever really grabbed me with his MCing, yet no amount of hate in the world could justify me rating his newest album lower than a 4/5. Too much obvious talent was displayed, regardless of if it's my "style" or not.

All the beats were dope, but I'm not feeling Cilva's emcee skills. It was cool the first time through, but his lyrics get extremely boring after the first listen. And the phone skits were unnecessary.

    3.5/5

Good solid album, had to listen to it a couple times to get it down.

Dont really care for the skits or the bush bashing. But the album is nice.

    Favorite tracks:
    Wu-Tang Martial Expert
    The Weeping Tiger
Sheherezad, My Beloved, (I Like that beat)
    Jewels
    Blazing Saddles
    The Saga

Looking forward to the second album.

Brothers ain't Brothers is a diss to Wu-Tang Clan. If you buy this album, you support the hate. Crappy CD. Yuck.

Where have I heard that sample from Jewels before?
As for myself: I had come to the conclusion that there was nothing sacred about myself or any human being, that we were all machines, doomed to collide and collide and collide.

It is an average album. It has a lot of filler tracks but the ones that are good are pretty dope. Not a classic by far and it might be a banger with several listens but for me right now it is average at best.

If you don't mind, can you list a bunch of current albums that you've been bumpin' that in any way shape or form make this somehow come across as average?

Maybe I'm completely wrong, and there are a bunch of hip-hop albums I haven't heard about recently that would somehow make this CD come across as average. If that's the case, I'd love to step up my musical game.

Remember, average doesn't just equal "an album I'm not feelin' as much as alot of other people, but I can't outright call it garbage without lookin' foolish."

hej first of all.... the snippets i've heard are great... damn... i thin it will be one of the best wu solo of the last few years.... perhaps like great migration my absolutly favorite in 2006....

    but i got one question....

    do u celebrate "OSTERN" (eastern?)
the thing with the rabbit and the eggs and jesus died... (i dont know im german)
because i preordered the album and the 9th of april is a "freeday" (its a day where no one works )...
so the POST will not deliver this great album on this day....

when do i get this shit... i cant wait anymore....

and what is the officially releasdate of GERMANY ???
i cant get any information... amazon has a album wich is called "wu tang presents Cilvaringz" with an other cover wich will release on 27th april....

when do i get this shit....?

    thanks for answer..

peace from germany to the wu fam(n's)

Ok, so i've been listening to the album basically no stop for the past couple of days and I would say that it's probably the most solid Wu-Tang related project in a while.

The only songs that I don't like are Valentine Day Massacre (Which I think is the wackest song on the album by far with My Beloved in a far 2nd) After that, the album is on point and would give 4/5.

As far as content, it's extremely conscious which I think is a breath of fresh air when you but it in comparssion to all the hollow garbage that we're being force fed by the powers that be! Personally, I don't agree with everything Ringz states but I respect his right to voice his opinions and his decision to take a stance on something he believes in with so much vigor.

The content might be a lil' too heavy for some, but the good thing about it is that even if you get lost in the content, there is solid productiion to serve as a safety net (perfect example being "In The Name Of Allah"). Overall, I give this project a 4/5. Besides those two hiccups (Valetine Day Massacre & My Beloved) the ambudance of skits is what makes this album 4/5 instead of 5/5.

good point, i agree. I've been listening to this shit alot also since i got it. Alot of really good songs. People should stop obsessing over thinks like his accent and who he might be dickriding, and just appreciate some good music.
